SPFL LEAGUE ONE PREVIEW
SPFL League One has the potential to be the most exciting league in Scottish football for season 2022/2023. With Queen of the South and Dunfermline Athletic coming down from the Championship and both Kelty Hearts and the newly rebranded FC Edinburgh competing at this level for the first time.
League One will definitely be hotly contested and the number of clubs chasing the title will likely be high. Airdrieonians will want to go one step further having missed out on promotion in the last couple of years at the final hurdle. They’ll definitely be looking to do it without the need of play off’s this season. Dunfermline Athletic and Queen of the South will be wanting their stay in League One to as short as possible. Kelty Hearts are very ambitious and Alloa and Montrose will be confident of at least getting to the play off’s.
We think the league will finish as follows;
Airdrieonians
Falkirk
Alloa
Queen of the South
Dunfermline Athletic
Kelty Hearts
Montrose
Peterhead
Clyde
FC Edinburgh
However the league does finish we are looking forward to following it and reporting on it as we go.
